Inclusive Microschool: Session #1

Service Description

Session #1 Dates: November 18-December 23 We honor every learner’s unique rhythm, gifts, and ways of knowing — centering belonging, creativity, and holistic growth over standardized outcomes. This microschool provides an inclusive environment where students with and without special needs learn side by side through hands-on, project-based learning that integrates art, culture, nature, language, and life skills. Lessons are adapted to meet diverse learning styles, emphasizing social-emotional development, communication, and real-world experiences. Our approach is relationship-based, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded, drawing from Indigenous and community-centered values of respect, reciprocity, and interdependence. We believe every learner deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated. Students engage in small group projects, community outings, creative arts, cooking and wellness practices that build confidence and connection. Families are partners in the learning journey, with regular opportunities for collaboration, storytelling, and celebration of student growth. If your child is on an IEP/504 Accommodations, please schedule a 1-HR Free Review of Needs and Conference.  This is a 4-hour long class offered once per week.  After assessing your child's strengths and challenges, we will design curriculum that supports them over the next 6 weeks to learn/improve Reading, Writing, Social Communication, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) through Hands-On Activities. *Our classroom is sensory friendly and allows for frequent breaks to reset and reconnect.  We are accepting 4 additional students (we have 2 students currently signed up.) We can add 3 more remote students (via Zoom lessons.) Snacks and supplies included. *Some sliding scale options may be available ($300-$500 per 6 week session)
